Infectious Diseases Models for Innovative Therapies logo

Our partners at CEA in the Infectious Disease Models and Innovative Therapies department (IDMIT) have a post-doc opportunity on a SARS-CoV-2 vaccination project with the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation. This amazing opportunity is available immediately.

  • Funded for 2 years by the Bill&Melinda Gates Foundation.
  • Available immediately in IDMIT, CEA, France, in the region of Paris, on a SARS-CoV-2 vaccination project on non-human primates.
  • This project aims at understanding mechanisms of vaccine-induced immunity and explore the potential risk of vaccine-induced enhancement of infection through in-depth analyses of antibody responses, cellular responses and tissue damages in macaques immunized against SARS-CoV-2 then exposed to the virus.
  • Immunological readouts will include flow or mass cytometry on blood, lung and bone marrow cells, and various tests of immune function (AIM assays, ADCC/ADCP assays, ELISpot), as well as analyses of the virus (qPCR, IF, IHC). There will be opportunities for further developments using available technologies at IDMIT, including Mass cytometry and in vivo and in vitro imaging.
